The Extremists Isle of Wight Mountain Bike Club was set up in February 1996 and currently has in the region of 35 members. We are an informal club, set up purely for the enjoyment of the superb cycling we have in our own back yard, the Isle of Wight. Gorrick was formed in 1991 by a group of mountain bike enthusiasts from a local off-road motorcycle club. Our first event was in November 1992 at Crowthorne Wood and we've been going strong ever since. Our original classic races soon evolved into a very popular Spring Series and later on a challenging long distance Enduro and smaller orienteering events. The Meon Valley Mountain Bike Club - We have been set up for off road cyclists within the Meon Valley catchment area between Portsmouth and Southampton in Hampshire. We welcome all abilities, ages and gender. Our local trail is Whiteley where there are 10 miles of trails - we would wish to double if not treble this distance in the next two years. They are a group of enthusiasts who share the same passion for mountain biking, beer and great food (curry)! The spring, summer and autumn months see the biggest gatherings with only a few hardy souls out in the depths of winter.
