GT's ladies bicycles are crafted to fit the female cyclist exactly. They start with a specifically engineered frame geometry that caters to the female body shape and maximises power delivery to the pedals. The angle that your pelvic bones contact the saddle is critical in creating a comfortable riding position so they use a taller headtube which allows for the upper body to be positioned higher which in turn rotates the pelvis into the ideal position for maximum comfort.
Due to naturally longer femur length GT have steepened the seat tube angle to give the rider a better position over the bottom bracket. Again this gives a more comfortable pedalling position and greater efficiency. Also they have shortened the top tube length to accommodate generally shorter arms and torsos which brings the handlebars in closer for a more comfortable riding position.
Frame: GT Triple Triangle design 6061 aluminium with Hydro formed downtube, zero stack headtube. Disc compatible with removeable mech hanger and geometry tuned for women
Fork: Suntour XCR-LO hydraulic fork with cr-mo 30 mm stanchions, magnesium lowers, preload adjust, 100 mm of travel and lock out
Brakes: Tektro Auriga comp, dual piston cold forged
Crankset: Shimano FC-M311 42/32/22 with Octalink Cartridge Sealed Bottom Bracket
Gears: Shimano Alivio 8 Speed , with Deore rear mech
Wheels: Alloy double wall ATB rims, built on Alloy QR front & Shimano Disc rear Hubs with Stainless Steel spokes
