How does it work
CycleTrac is a GPS / RF based tracking device that will alert you in the event of unauthorised movement. You have control of CycleTrac via an APP, where you will be able to ARM and Dis-ARM the system.
When Armed - if the device is moved for more than 25 seconds an alert is sent directly to you via Text / Email / Push notification and an automated phone call.
1 - If it's a False alert; We ask that you “Reset” the device via the APP
2 - If a theft has occurred:
- We ask that you call 999 to gain a “Crime Number”
- You call our SOC (Secure Operating Centre)
- We do the rest, which consists of liaising with the Police and working with them to recover your E-Bike as swiftly as possible

CycleTrac has its own battery which can last up to 60 days.
What is the Tech
Multi-channel Technology
- CycleTrac primarily uses GPS which gives accuracy down to 3-5 metres. If your E-Bike is stolen and ends up in a parade of garages, containers or a van, GPS devices would only be able to show rough location. CycleTrac can use RF (Radio Frequency) which allows us to locate down to 1 metre in garages, this is accurate enough to gain a search warrant.

Tracking Technology - Jargon Buster
- GPS = Global Positioning Satellites. Shows real time location (accurate to about 3- 5 metres)
- GPRS = General Packet Radio Service, same as a mobile phone. Sends the data of the device, like a mobile phone
- GSM = Global System for Mobile Communications, sends text message alerts
- RF = Radio Frequency also referred to as VHF Very High Frequency (accurate to about 1-metre)
- 24/7 SOC = Secure Operations Centre.
Theft Response Team
In cooperation with Securitas, CycleTrac is able to offer a 'Response Service', in the event of Police being unable to attend a theft in good time. This nationwide service enables an SIA accredited operative to visit the location and secure the stolen machine. BikeTrac is the only tracker to offer this extra level of protection making sure your vehicle is secured once found if the police can’t attend in a timely fashion.
How it works
All tracking products rely on the Police being able to attend, with the general Police cutbacks and more vehicles now using tracking technology there are occasions where Police are unable to attend as quickly as we would hope.
Partnership with SECURITAS
Nationwide coverage, all staff are SIA accredited and CRB checked. They do not have any special powers like the Police but are able to attend when the Police cannot and secure the vehicle. This can only be actioned if the vehicle is on public land/highway. If the vehicle is on private property we will still need to liaise with the Police directly.Who are SECURITAS?
All authorised CycleTrac dealers are trained to ensure that your unit is installed in the most covert location possible, giving the best levels of protection.
Professional installation of the CycleTrac unit is important to make sure the unit works as intended and also to make sure if your E-Bike is stolen the unit is hard to find. We recommend that installation of the tracker is performed by a reputable installer that is familiar with our product and an authorised dealer.
