After two hugely successful years, we’re excited to announce the 3rd Annual Electric Bike Demo Day, your chance to test ride the very latest electric bikes in a safe, friendly and traffic free environment.

Whether you’re curious about eBikes or already an experienced rider, this event is the perfect opportunity to discover, compare and ride a wide range of electric bicycles from some of the biggest and most trusted brands. From powerful mountain eBikes and versatile trekking models to agile folding bikes and commuter options, there’s something for every style of rider.

The spacious outdoor circuit at the Mountbatten Centre Velodrome gives you the freedom to explore multiple models at your own pace, under the guidance of knowledgeable Cycle World staff. Get hands on with the latest features in battery systems, motors and intelligent ride technology, and feel the difference for yourself.

What to Expect

  • Unlimited ride time on as many eBikes as you want throughout the event.

  • Expert advice from Cycle World’s experienced team and representaives of Specialized, Giant, Cube and others.

  • A relaxed, non‑competitive environment suitable for all ability levels.

Tickets & Registration

Tickets are available now, a minimal £1 deposit is taken at checkout as an ID check, all ticket money will be donated it to our chosen charity, Rowans Hospice.

Each ticket covers unlimited ride time on all available bikes for the duration of the demo, online registration helps speed up your entry, but you can also register on the day. Pre‑registered riders will receive a free goodie bag on exit of the event.

Riders must be 14 years or older, riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Helmet wearing is compulsory when you are on the track, and although we can supply a limited quantity of helmets we would advise you to bring your own to avoid delays and increase your ride time.

Safe & Intelligent eBike systems.

The electric bikes we supply conform to UK legislation, offering safe, intuiative and intelligent eBike systems from big names in motor and battery components, including Bosch, Yamaha, Brose, Shimano and Panasonic. UK laws mean that electric bikes must meet certain criteria, in basic terms the cycle must be pedal assist (no throttle), a maximum 250 watt motor and a maximum speed of 15.5mph (25kmh).

As with our previous events, Cycle World continue to support Rowans Hospice, all ticket money and collections will be donated to this very worthwhile cause.

Rowans Hosipice are a charity providing free care and support to adults in the community who have a life-limiting illness and their families. They aim to provide a space where families can enjoy special moments and create precious memories together. Whether in their Living Well Services, Hospice or at home, they maintain the highest professional standards so that care is the very best it can be. At the heart of everything they do is compassion – because they understand that kindness and understanding make the biggest difference of all.

Terms & Conditions

No one likes to read the small print but in order to run this event safely we would ask all riders to accept and adhere to some particular rules when out on the track. In summary, riders must be 14 years or older (14-18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult). Helmet wearing is compulsory on the track, no helmet, no ride! (helmets are supplied). This is a leisure classed event for trying out electric bikes on an asphalt velotrack, this is not a race or competitive event, any agressive or reckless riding will not be tolerated and may result on expulsion from the track and/or event. Access to the track, rider checks, and marshalling is undertaken by a British Cycling recognised rider/leader. Each rider will be required to sign our full t'c and c's on entry to the event and a wristband will be issued, wristbands must be worn and made visible on request to all Cycle World staff, exhibitors and the track marshall.
